Salesforce.com Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff delivered the latest vision for cloud computing during his opening keynote of Dreamforce 2012 on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Titled "Business is Social", the keynote's message was loud and clear: cloud computing is here and it's making business social and mobile. 

Joined by special guests from industry leading companies and brands, Benioff shared six stories of how businesses are transforming the way they sell, deliver customer service, market, collaborate internally and externally, motivate employee performance and build innovative products with Salesforce cloud-based, social and mobile-ready solutions.

Each of the enterprises featured in the keynote shared a transformational business outcome achieved with salseforce.com.

Charlene Begley, Global CIO, General Electric presented how how the world's most respected brand, connects its customers, employees, partners and products with GE Share.

Bruno Cercley, President & CEO, Rossignol, a 100-year-old alpine equipment icon, demoed how its use of Sales Cloud helps it better connect winter sports enthusiasts and distributors to the company.

Leading game publisher Activision's CIO Robert Schmid commented on how the company launched a social online platform on Service Cloud to unite the communities around games like Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, and Skylanders.

Andy Lark, CMO, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australia's largest bank, outlined how the company leverages multiple products including Marketing Cloud to deliver incomparable service across its social media channels.

David Cush, CEO of Virgin America, voted Best Domestic Airline five years running, highlighted how the company uses Chatter to help employees collaborate and Chatter Communities to offer world class customer service to its customers—both at the gate and inflight.
