Last year I attended my first Dreamforce. Words cannot express what it is like to be at a conference where you feel innovation and exuberance flowing from every corner around you.
I heard inspirational speakers like Marc Benioff and Sir Richard Branson talk about the future of tech, reminding me why I am so lucky to be part of such an incredible industry, and employed by a next-level company.
I made friends with attendees, got a ridiculous amount of free swag, and ran around with SaaSy at the Cloud Expo. It was like running through an adult Disneyland. Many non-salesforce employees came up to me to tell me how much they love Salesforce.
This year, I want others to chug the Koolaid with me, and experience the same insanity I went through last year. After all, we have Sheryl Sandberg and Marissa Mayer speaking, a $1M dollar hackathon, and Green Day playing!
I am a digital marketing manager at salesforce.com and it’s my job to let everyone know about the BEST event of the year. Promoting such an innovative and game-changing conference, it would seem anticlimactic to rely only on redundant search ads and intrusive banners to get people pumped up for the event (though both are highly effective and must-haves in my media plan).

Advertisements can’t be an interruption anymore; they have to add value to a user. Knowing this, we brainstormed on how to deliver that idea. It took a few months and a lot of fabulous teamwork to get us to the finish line for this project, but we made it. I want people to engage with the Dreamforce experience in a whole new way; before they even sign up.
The components of the infographic include links for users to sign up for the event, enter for a chance to win Virgin America tickets and a full conference pass and additional modules that bring to life the world of Dreamforce. For example, one module quantifies the growth of your network after attending this amazing event. Another module, containing Deepak Chopra’s quote, dynamic updates based on the industry you are in.
