At Salesforce, customer success is at the heart of everything we do. Over the last 17 years, we've delivered thousands of features across our products and increased our data center capacity as we continue to make our systems more innovative and trusted. With all of the exciting new products and features introduced over the years we are bringing additional value to our customers. And with the 50th release of Salesforce approaching, we took a close look at how we package our core products. We analyzed historical buying and usage patterns to understand what our customers valued most and we listened to customers and partners of all sizes through surveys and conversations. Our customers were clear-- they want more customization and configuration capabilities in our Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Editions, and they want us to include key features that have been sold separately. 

Based on that feedback, today we are introducing three new editions at simplified price points. Salesforce’s Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition and Unlimited Edition for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud will be replaced by new Lightning Professional Edition, Lightning Enterprise Edition and Lightning Unlimited Edition for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, and will be priced at $75, $150 and $300, respectively. Our new editions include even more capabilities that extend the value of our products and will be available in Q2 FY17.

Existing Sales Cloud and Service Cloud customers will automatically receive the capabilities and features of the new Lightning Editions. They will not need to change editions.
