Tuesday, April 4th marks Equal Pay Day — when we recognize that women on average are paid 20% less than men and how far into 2017 women need to work to earn what men were paid in 2016. Addressing the gender pay gap is an important step in building the path to equality for all. Businesses have the ability to eliminate this barrier to advancement and we can work together as one community — one ohana — to lead the change.
Beyond committing regular equal pay assessments, Salesforce is participating in Leanin.org’s #20PercentCounts campaign along with LUNA, Lyft, and P&G. Salesforce donated to support the national rollout of the campaign which includes businesses in more than 25 U.S. cities offering 20% discounts and special offers.
On this day we also honor the equality trailblazers who dedicated their lives to achieving equal pay for equal work.
