Make Your Voice Heard: CNX19 — Call for Speakers

Know how to make an impact while delivering best-in-class customer experiences and engagement in marketing, commerce, and customer service? We want to hear from you.

Do you drive customer engagement and deliver amazing customer experiences? We’re launching our Call for Speakers (you will need to log in with your Salesforce account to nominate a speaker) to discover those remarkable stories for Connections coming up in June. If you’ve got best practices to share as a marketer, commerce leader, or customer service pro, then the Connections audience wants to learn from you in Chicago!

This year’s topics are exciting and we want great partners and customers to round out the global speaker roster of practitioners. As always, we are looking for speakers with a story to tell, not fully baked presentations. Speaking at Connections is a fantastic experience and, if you have ever attended a Salesforce event, you know that the quality of session speakers is extremely high. We want to hear from you if you know firsthand what it takes to drive customer engagement in marketing, commerce, and customer service all while delivering customer experiences that make an impact.

Nominate yourself or nominate a colleague who will add to the conversation at Connections in Chicago.

Our content team will comb through every submission and if you are selected to speak, you will get a complimentary full conference pass. But don’t delay, all submissions must be received by Friday, May 17, 2019.

If you’re thinking: “Hey, I have a fantastic story and I’m excited to share my knowledge!” — we’re excited to read your submission! But, here is some additional information.

For longer breakout sessions, we prefer speakers that:

  1. Show their smarts about solving common challenges
  2. Provide clear use cases, best practices, lessons learned, or how-to’s
  3. Nerd out by going deep on how your company uses Salesforce to deliver amazing customer experiences
  4. Highlight the ROI as well as other benefits your team and company has seen with Salesforce

For shorter theater sessions, we like speakers that:

  1. Highlight top tips or tricks like “Use this shortcut to save 10 minutes an hour” or “Top 3 features to get started”
  2. Focus and/or highlight a specific product feature and how you are using it
  3. Show the audience how-to — this could even be a live demo!

Now that you know what we’re on the lookout for, it’s time to craft a winning speaker submission!

Make sure to include:

  1. An outline of your key points — what can attendees expect to learn from you?
  2. A description of the problems you are solving and include examples
  3. Lists that rank your top best practices or lessons
  4. Demographic information on your target audience — by personas and/or industries

Once you have this information thought-out and prepared, you are ready to apply. Be as precise and descriptive as possible in your submission — the more direct you are, the easier it is for our content team to understand exactly what you want to share.

Whatever your topic, your knowledge and passion are what will make a great Connections’ session. If you’ve never spoken at Dreamforce or at any of our other events, don’t worry. We have lots of ways to help you prepare. This great Trailhead module on Public Speaking Skills is specifically designed for new speakers.
