Salesforce Delivers SalesforceIQ Inbox for Outlook, Bringing the Power of Relationship Intelligence to the World’s #1 Email Client
Now Sales Cloud users can transform their email into a modern CRM app
Building on their strategic partnership, Salesforce and Microsoft are making joint customers more productive than ever before
Companies including The New York Post, RingDNA and ShopStyle are now closing deals directly from their inbox
SAN FRANCISCO—March 10, 2016—Salesforce [NYSE: CRM], the Customer Success Platform and world's #1 CRM company, today announced SalesforceIQ Inbox for Outlook, extending SalesforceIQ to the world’s #1 email client, Microsoft Outlook. SalesforceIQ Inbox is an intelligent app for Gmail, and now Outlook, that transforms every Sales Cloud user’s inbox into a modern CRM app by bringing SalesforceIQ’s groundbreaking Relationship Intelligence technology directly to their email.
Today’s sales teams are experiencing information overload. In fact, according to a CSO Insights study, sales reps have to search as many as 15 disconnected data sources to find relevant information on a single customer or prospect. As a result, 89 percent of executives believe sales reps are missing opportunities because they can no longer keep up with the information sprawl. In addition, salespeople still live in their email because customers often prefer it as the contact channel. In fact, the average sales rep spends more than 70 percent of their time answering email every week. But email wasn’t designed to manage this information overload or customer relationships. It remains disconnected from business processes and the customer experience.
Salesforce has solved this problem for reps with SalesforceIQ Inbox. It transforms reps’ inboxes by connecting their email, Salesforce CRM and customer social data. SalesforceIQ’s Relationship Intelligence technology connects the dots and unifies customer data by leveraging data science to automatically capture, analyze and surface information that is relevant for stronger customer relationships.
Salesforce and Microsoft Joint Customers are More Productive than Ever
SalesforceIQ Inbox for Outlook is the latest example of how Salesforce continues to deliver on its commitment to customers in its ongoing strategic partnership with Microsoft. With more than 400 million users, Outlook, is the world’s #1 email client and is currently used by the vast majority of Salesforce Sales Cloud users. SalesforceIQ for Outlook provides joint customers the opportunity to work more intelligently and efficiently than ever before; and, it builds on a foundation of existing joint solutions, including the Files Connect integration with SharePoint, OneDrive for Business and Skype for Business Integration with Salesforce Lightning Experience.
