When it‘s time to make a decision about you or a loved one moving into a senior living community, finding the right fit can feel overwhelming. That‘s why Bill Martin started SeniorLiving.com, an online resource that connects seniors with retirement communities.
As they look to add more communities to their nationwide directory and help more seniors find their homes, they have a lot to get done with a streamlined staff. “At a startup you wear a lot of hats,” says Bill Martin, CEO. “Right now I‘m handling sales and marketing, among other things, so I want to automate as much as possible to make the most of my time.” Along with acquiring new communities as customers, Martin also has another group of marketing constituents: the seniors who join the website for free. That would be a lot for any company to manage manually, so SeniorLiving.com automates sales and marketing with Data.com and Pardot.
Martin‘s process starts with finding new communities and contacts in Data.com. He explains “There are thousands of senior living communities across the country, some we know about, some we don‘t. We use Data.com to find the communities and the Executive Directors or Marketing Directors who would be in charge of listing them in our directory.” From there, the leads go into Pardot, where they can send and track marketing campaigns, as well as send a newsletter to individuals looking for information on senior living.
Even with limited time, Martin and team are making a big impact, both on the company‘s growth and the lives of the seniors they connect with homes. “With the right tools, we‘ve been able to create a resource that is of real value in the senior living decision-making process, and that‘s pretty amazing.”
