We’ve designed a new way of purchasing and using Insights to make it easier and more affordable for our customers to get started. Apply one or more Insights to a Topic Profile, and exchange credits and providers as your needs change – it’s that easy.
Credits are virtual currency specially designed for Insights. They provide a monthly allotment that you can use to apply Insights to your Topic Profiles. Credits expire at the end of every calendar month, whether they’re applied or not.
Talk to your Account Executive about purchasing credits. The Insights credit system is designed to scale based on needs. You’ll need to purchase enough credits to cover the mentions your Topic Profile(s) brings in per month. See the credit exchange rates.
Want to find out the estimated monthly volume (EMV) of your Topic Profile? Check the Topic Profile Manager in the Analysis Dashboard.

To apply the credits you’ve purchased, email credits@salesforce.com with:

  • The Topic Profile ID number
  • The name of the Insights provider
  • Start and end date (Start date must be current or future date)

Email credits@salesforce.com with:

  • The Topic Profile ID number you’re removing credits from
  • The Topic Profile ID number you’re moving credits to
  • Confirm the Insights provider
  • Start and end date (Start date must be current or future date)

Email credits@salesforce.com with:

  • The Topic Profile ID number
  • The current Insights provider you’re using
  • The new provider you would like to switch to
  • Start and end date (Start date must be current or future date)
You can make a request anytime to apply credits.
Please keep your requests to no more than once per month per Topic Profile.
Yes, if your Topic Profile sees an increase in mentions you’ll need to purchase more credits to ensure you don’t lose any coverage.
No, credits expire at the end of each calendar month.
Yes, our providers are continually growing and changing. The credits system allows you to easily exchange credits and providers as necessary.
