SAN FRANCISCO — February 16, 2006 — Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the technology and market leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced the appointment of Bernard Pech as Chief Technology Officer of worldwide Sales. Pech will be responsible for launching the salesforce.com CIO Advisory Board, engaging enterprise customers in their Salesforce CRM deployments as well as adoption of salesforce.com's AppExchange on-demand platform, collaborating on development of the company's on-demand roadmap, and evangelizing the on-demand model amongst the CIO community.
Pech joins salesforce.com with more than 25 years of experience in information systems and expertise in the design, definition, program management, selling and implementation of solutions. Most recently, he was the Chief Technology Officer at Siebel Systems where he developed and evangelized Siebel's next generation technology, leveraging years of customer relationships and working closely with engineering to ensure a high level of service delivery. During his seven-year tenure at Siebel, Pech also managed the "Infrastructure and Technology" product marketing and product management organization and helped define and position the Siebel eBusiness Platform. Prior to that, Pech held a variety of executive-level engineering and business strategy positions at IA Corporation, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and Systems Industries. Pech is a graduate from University of Paris, with a degree in Mathematics and holds an advanced degree in Telecommunications Civil Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley.
