SAN FRANCISCO, June 15, 2010 – Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the enterprise cloud computing company, today announced Cloudforce 2010, the largest cloud computing event of the year. This industry, customer and developer event is being held on June 22, 2010 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.

With the arrival of Cloud 2, the next generation of cloud computing that is collaborative, real-time and mobile, an entirely new economy has emerged. Some of the biggest names in technology are participating in Cloudforce 2010–from the world’s largest software companies like BMC and CA, to technology pioneers like Dell and VMware and several surprise guests — all to educate the technology community on how they can realize tremendous success with Cloud 2. Cloudforce 2010 will provide the roadmap for the cloud computing industry with more than 35 Cloud Leaders on the tradeshow floor and 18 expert-led breakout sessions.

Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff’s keynote will take place at 10 a.m. PT. Salesforce Chatter is Coming
At the monumental event, salesforce.com will announce the arrival of Salesforce Chatter, the company’s biggest breakthrough ever. Chatter, the industry’s first real-time enterprise social collaboration application and platform, has been in private beta with more than 5,000 customers over the last five months to rave reviews. Chatter will go live for all of salesforce.com’s more than 77,300 customers globally on June 22, 2010.

Accelerating Tremendous Customer Success with Salesforce Chatter
Cloudforce 2010 will inspire customer and developer success with Sales Cloud 2, Service Cloud 2 and the Force.com platform all of which will have Chatter included. Attendees will learn how to maximize their current investments and explore new offerings across the Salesforce CRM applications, the Force.com platform, and partner offerings on the AppExchange 2, including the ChatterExchange. In addition, attendees will meet with salesforce.com product teams, hear from experts at leading customer and strategic partner companies, get hands-on training, and learn best practices and strategies for generating success with social enterprise collaboration.

Fueling Developer Innovation with Chatter – Building the World’s First Collaboration Platform
Developers can hear the latest on how innovation with Chatter makes the Force.com platform better and more powerful. Salesforce.com is also hosting the Chatter DevZone so developers can experience building Cloud 2 apps leveraging Chatter on Force.com. Developers can also get their hands on the new Chatter workbook and cheat sheet, as well as network with Force.com experts, partners and developers in a dedicated area of the expo floor. In addition, salesforce.com will be hosting the Chatter Hackathon the evening of June 22 to inspire even more innovation within the community.

Cloud Leaders: Eco-system goes Social with Chatter
The shift to Cloud 2 is gaining momentum as salesforce.com partners respond to the new innovation opportunities with Chatter. The salesforce.com partner community has already recognized the new commercial opportunities for Cloud 2 and delivered more than two dozen Chatter-ready apps that are available from the AppExchange 2 in the ChatterExchange, a new category for social enterprise apps. To further showcase the future of enterprise cloud computing and the innovations in the eco-system, dozens of Cloud Leaders will demonstrate their offerings at the event.
