TOKYO—May 24, 2013—Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the world’s #1 CRM platform (http://www.salesforce.com/), today announced that Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff will keynote an exclusive customer event on May 28 at Tokyo Midtown Hall. Benioff will discuss how the latest technology trends are empowering companies to transform into customer companies and connect with their customers in entirely new ways. Also on May 28, Benioff will speak at the U.S.-Japan Council 2013 Japan Symposium, where he will address the importance of entrepreneurialism and innovation in Japan’s technology industry.

Salesforce Customer Company Tour
The Salesforce Customer Company Tour is a global road show designed to help companies tap into the power of social and mobile cloud computing. Attendees will learn how to transform into customer companies by marketing to and servicing customers everywhere, selling as a team, building a customer platform and transforming the way they work. By connecting everything—customers, employees, partners and products—customer companies revolutionize the way they sell, service, market and innovate, creating deeper connections with their customers and unlocking greater levels of growth, innovation and success.

The Salesforce Customer Company Tour Tokyo will feature live keynotes from salesforce.com executives, specialized breakout sessions for sales, service, marketing, IT, developers and more, live demos of cutting-edge technologies and real customer stories from around the world.

The Tokyo keynote will take place at Tokyo Midtown Hall and can be viewed online in real-time at Salesforce Live at http://salesforce.com/live beginning at 10:00 a.m. (Japan time).

The breakout sessions will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo located in the Tokyo Midtown complex.

The U.S. – Japan Council 2013 Japan Symposium
The U.S.-Japan Council is a non-profit educational organization that contributes to strengthening U.S.-Japan relations by bringing together diverse leadership, engaging stakeholders and exploring issues that benefit communities, businesses and government entities on both sides of the Pacific. The Council promotes people-to-people relations as crucial to a strong U.S.-Japan relationship.

This year’s theme for the 2013 Japan Symposium is “The Next Generation: Investing in Future of Japan and the U.S.” The Symposium will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on May 28 at Roppongi Academy Hills (http://www.usjapancouncil.org/p/japan_symposium).

Benioff’s presentation will be audiocast live from 3:15 p.m. (Japan time).

At the Symposium, Benioff will share his experiences as the founder of salesforce.com, as well as his observations of Japan’s technology industry, its challenges and opportunities.
