Observing International Women’s Day, Salesforce Partners with Girl Scouts to Support STEM Programs

Help Salesforce inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. We’re seeking to add 2.5 million girls to the STEM pipeline by 2025.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, for all of March the Salesforce Women’s Network and Salesforce Women in Technology are partnering with Girl Scouts of the USA to support programs that motivate girls to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). “I’m excited about the work we are doing with Girl Scouts. We’ve seen such long-standing engagement among activations with our employees and technology support for several years, all of which so perfectly align with the mission of the Salesforce Women’s Network of inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders,” said Women’s Network Philanthropic Chair Christina Moseley.

Since 2012, Girl Scouts has been an integral partner with Salesforce Women’s Network, with Salesforce employees dedicating over 15,000 volunteer hours to Girl Scout troops throughout the United States. Most notably was the establishment of a program that enables Girl Scout troops to set up cookie stands in Salesforce offices. Since the inception of this initiative, over 9,000 boxes of cookies have been sold in over 13 Salesforce offices, with over $52,000 in cookie sales, all benefiting local Girl Scout councils.

In 2018, the Salesforce Women’s Network created a specific Girl Scout Leadership Lesson in Trailhead, which over 5,000 people have completed. This International Women’s Day, we encourage everyone to join in on the mission and donate to the Girl Scout STEM Pledge. Salesforce will match all employee donations of $50 and above.
