Unlocking that data could significantly improve efficiency, which is crucial given our tight margins,&#8221; John adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>Technology has immense potential to improve efficiency and decision-making,\u201d says John. \u201cWe have workforces, like most industries, that are feeling stretched and overworked. Technology can help alleviate those very real concerns,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The figures back this up. According to a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jll.co.uk\/en\/trends-and-insights\/research\/artificial-intelligence-and-its-implications-for-real-estate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> recent report from JLL<\/a>, over 80% of property occupiers, investors and developers plan to increase their technology budget in the next three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John was keen to stress that it\u2019s more than just rote admin tasks, it\u2019s about making <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/eu\/data\/\">data-driven decisions<\/a>. \u201cIt just makes sense; instead of guessing or using gut feeling, we can use real insights to make informed choices and predict potential outcomes. That approach is key to business improvement and optimising performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cementing-the-relationship-with-ai-nbsp\"><strong>Cementing the relationship with AI&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe exciting part is that AI is here \u2013 it\u2019s no longer science fiction. It&#8217;s not about replacing people but reducing strain and freeing up employees to focus on higher-value activities. It\u2019s exciting to think about how we can apply AI to our industry to alleviate pain points and make our work more efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI recently waited six weeks to get data for a report. Instead, I could have spent minutes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/eu\/artificial-intelligence\/\">using AI <\/a>to retrieve the same data. The time-saving potential is huge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But John warns that everyone must be mindful of how AI could affect certain roles, like administrative workers, and find ways to use AI ethically and responsibly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/uk\/solutions\/industries\/business-services\/built-environment\/\">construction sector<\/a> doesn\u2019t embrace AI, it risks falling behind other sectors that are modernising rapidly. \u201cAI could help attract new talent by making our work more appealing and efficient,\u201d he said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-will-you-be-back-at-dreamforce-next-year\"><strong>Will you be back at Dreamforce next year?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOf course, AI tools like<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/eu\/agentforce\/\"> Agentforce<\/a> have been fascinating. Customer service is an area I\u2019m passionate about,\u201d continues John. \u201cIt\u2019s been eye-opening to see how big players from other industries, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deloitte.com\/uk\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Deloitte<\/a> and others, are doing things in their sector.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe can learn new things by being exposed to all of these ideas and use cases.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve heard insights from sectors like car manufacturing and retail, and while their specific needs differ, the underlying principles are the same.
