What we\u2019re doing is trying to do something different and better,\u201d Dyson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_hG79AwLw3s\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Sir Richard Branson was entrepreneurial from the very start, similar to Dyson, he started his business to fill a need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Branson launched Virgin Mail Order in 1970, selling records by mail order to raise funds for his youth culture magazine called Student. The company was named Virgin because he was entirely new to business. Soon the records were selling so well that Branson opened Virgin Records on Oxford Street in London. It is all about the customer in the end. Persistence, resilience and adaptability are absolutely instrumental to overcoming obstacles like changing market conditions and customer needs, in order to achieve success,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And Dyson would agree. \u201cThe time to push hard is when you&#8217;re hurting like crazy and you want to give up, because success is often just around the corner,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cListen more than you speak,\u201d advised Branson in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virgin.com\/branson-family\/richard-branson-blog\/the-nine-business-fundamentals-that-have-never-let-me-down\">blog post<\/a>. \u201cYou can\u2019t get genuine feedback from your employees and your customers if you don\u2019t truly listen to them. This means listening to the good <em>and<\/em> the bad. It\u2019s also a simple sign of respect, which shows people you trust and value them,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-your-people-are-your-business\"><strong>Your people are your business<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, investing in your team is essential for sales success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLet people be authentic at work, and watch them thrive. They will find more pride, fulfillment, and passion for the job \u2013 which translates directly into better experiences for customers, heightened creativity, and greater productivity,\u201d said Branson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Embracing diversity and inclusion amongst your team unlocks business performance, according to von Roth. \u201cDiverse teams bring a variety of perspectives and ideas, which can lead to more innovative solutions and better decision-making.
