But what exactly is contactless engagement, and why is it so important in the current climate?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-contactless-engagement-and-why-is-it-important\"><b>What is contactless engagement and why is it important?<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Simply put, contactless engagement is a way for customers to do business without having to come into contact with other individuals. And in the case of low-contact engagement, with as few individuals as possible. Offering contactless engagement is a way to build trust and make customers feel safer in the New Normal. It can also make for a more efficient and less time-consuming shopping experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few of the ways that businesses can establish contactless engagement and create a safer environment for their customers and workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-offer-curbside-service-and-in-store-pickup-options\"><b>Offer curbside service and in-store pickup options<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The less time customers spend inside a shop the safer their experience is. For instance, offering in-store pickup enables customers to have a quick and easy experience with minimal contact. When offering in-store pickup, businesses should clearly define the pickup area, mark it with signage, and place it near the door. Amazon even utilises in-store, self-service lockers to pick up items ordered online.
