For the past three years, Marist College’s School of Communication & the Arts has used Salesforce Social Studio. Students in advertising, public relations, fashion, and digital media are trained in the software and then complete course assignments. This year, Marist’s Center for Social Media has 12 student ambassadors who are doing social media listening for two nonprofit organizations nearby the institution. The collaboration has been a win-win for the organizations, who do not have the means necessary to hire social media staff, as well as for the students who are obtaining real-world experience working with clients and using professional software.
