Peter Coffee, VP For Strategic Research, Salesforce
Peter Coffee has been with the company for eleven years. He collaborates with customer and partner teams on CIO strategies, innovation cultures and practices, application development models, and exploration of connected product and "big data" opportunities. Before his preceding 18 years as an IT industry analyst with Ziff-Davis Publishing, primarily at eWEEK, he was the first Manager for Desktop Computing Planning at The Aerospace Corporation (where he also worked in space-asset applications of AI techniques). Before that, he held various project management roles with Exxon in locations ranging from the Gulf of Mexico to Alaska's Beaufort Sea. Peter received his engineering degree from MIT in 1978 and an MBA from Pepperdine University in 1985; he has authored two books and held various college faculty appointments, while also lecturing at Stanford, CalTech, Harvard Business School, and MIT's Sloan School of Management.
