Students are placing greater importance on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as a factor in choosing an institution. Admission professionals play an important role in increasing and supporting a diverse student body, and have implemented a number of DEI strategies.
This report, developed by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), includes a literature review, DEI position scan, and focus group findings to:
- Assess the current landscape of DEI in college admission
- Identify DEI-related challenges and needs for furthering DEI practices and satisfaction
- Provide recommendations for DEI practices that support student success
