Dreamforce 2015 is conveniently held in one of the most exciting tourist locations this country has to offer. Before this week is over, you owe it to yourself to check a few things off your Dreamforce bucket list. Don’t have one? You can borrow ours. Below are five San Francisco activities that it would be a crime to miss out on while you’re there.
Pier 39. If you can make it to Pier 39 around dawn, you’ll beat the rush of tourists coming to see the Sea Lions. These stunning beasts are typically sparse in the summer, but they come back to the pier in early fall, just in time for Dreamforce. Whether you’re a fan of selfies, picturesque Instagram posts, or simply capturing memories, you’ll want to keep your camera handy at the pier. With stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, and the San Francisco Bay Bridge, the photo ops don’t get better.
Golden Gate Park. Full of more spectacular views, Golden Gate Park is the perfect place to escape the chaos of the city for a while. Within the tree-filled park, you’ll find a carousel on Kezar Drive, the Conservatory of Flowers, and a herd of bison in the Bison Baddock at the park’s west end. Golden Gate Park is a must visit.
The De Young Museum. A favorite of locals and tourists alike, the De Young Fine Arts Museum is found right in the heart of Golden Gate Park. The museum is a prized and integral part of the San Francisco culture, and definitely worth an hour or two of your time. The beautiful building integrates art, architecture, and the natural landscape, and exhibits priceless collections of American art from the 17th through 21st centuries.
The Golden Gate Bridge. You probably already know that no trip to San Fran is complete without a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge, but here is a tip: The best way to really experience the Golden Gate Bridge in all its iconic beauty is to walk across it. The bridge is 1.7 miles long, and connects the Pacific Ocean to San Francisco Bay, so skip the hotel gym one morning and get your daily exercise while taking in the beautiful and scenic views.
AT&T Park. If you are a fan of ballpark food, you’ll find that AT&T Park boasts the best in the nation–along with being the home to the three time World Series winners, The San Francisco Giants. The team will be playing at home the week of Dreamforce, so catch a game and some garlic fries while you can.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to treat yourself to some of the best sightseeing and dining experiences in the world during your time at Dreamforce. And while you are at the show, don’t forget to stop by the HeyWire booth in the Dreamforce Cloud Expo North Hall, booth N2112. Can’t wait to see you there!
