Research shows a gap between what employees say would help them foster healthier relationships with technology and what businesses actually provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Employee wellbeing \u2014 and specifically, the shared responsibility of employers and employees in fostering it \u2014 has been a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/forrester\/2021\/05\/10\/employee-wellbeing-is-a-shared-responsibility\/?sh=595921f221e0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hot topic<\/a> as the pandemic and its aftereffects wear on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognizing how important this topic will remain, and the role it can play as a provider of enterprise technology, Salesforce is<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/salesforce-expands-work-com-to-enhance-employee-wellbeing-accelerate-talent-development-and-streamline-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> introducing<\/a> a suite of wellbeing capabilities for <a href=\"http:\/\/Work.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Work.com<\/a>. These tools and resources will empower businesses and employee to maintain a healthy relationship with work and technology.<br><br>To better understand how employees view this intersection of technology and wellbeing, the resources required, and the impacts on employees and businesses alike, Salesforce commissioned a survey of over 1,500 knowledge workers.* A summary of the key findings is shared below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The pandemic transformed our relationship with work technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While back-to-back video meetings may bring stress, the workforce overwhelmingly views technology\u2019s impact on work life over the course of the pandemic as positive. In fact, today\u2019s work technology may very well have salvaged many jobs that would have otherwise been lost: nearly three-quarters of those surveyed doubt that they could have conducted their jobs with technology from even five years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"tableau-viz-embed-container \">\n\t<tableau-viz\n\t\tclass=\"tableau-viz-embed\"\n\t\tsrc=\"https:\/\/public.tableau.com\/views\/KnowledgeWorkersViewofCurrentTechnology\/Q1617DB?:language=en-USu0026amp;:display_count=nu0026amp;:origin=viz_share_link\"\n\t\ttoolbar=\"hidden\"\n\t\thide-tabs\n\t><\/tableau-viz>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employee wellbeing correlates with technology satisfaction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/blog\/employee-experience-and-customer-experience-for-revenue-growth-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Recent research<\/a> has underscored the importance of employee experience, and over a year of remote work has put employee wellbeing, specifically, in the hot seat. The data shows a relationship between satisfaction with work technology and overall employee wellbeing. Those who are dissatisfied with their work technology are more than twice as likely to plan to leave their job in the next year, less than half as likely to recommend their employer to potential employees, and less likely to feel generally productive. However, few employers have provided these resources, such as those Salesforce has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/salesforce-expands-work-com-to-enhance-employee-wellbeing-accelerate-talent-development-and-streamline-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">introduced<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/work.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Work.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"tableau-viz-embed-container \">\n\t<tableau-viz\n\t\tclass=\"tableau-viz-embed\"\n\t\tsrc=\"https:\/\/public.tableau.com\/views\/TechnologyResourcesRatedMostValuableandProvidedbyEmployers\/Q2021DB?:embed=yu0026amp;:display_count=nu0026amp;:origin=viz_share_link\"\n\t\ttoolbar=\"hidden\"\n\t\thide-tabs\n\t><\/tableau-viz>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/employees-plan-to-change-how-they-work-post-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">remain<\/a> distributed and their work will become increasingly dependent on an expanding and evolving set of technologies. In this landscape, businesses will need to reevaluate not only how to keep employees engaged and productive, but healthy and happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Survey methodology<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Salesforce conducted a double-blind online survey of knowledge workers* in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Ireland.
