Parameswaran was joined by\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sajin Mangalathu, CFO and CIO of Hero Fincorp, and Kapil Mahajan, Global CITO, All Cargo Logistics &#8211; both organisations are Salesforce customers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why it matters:<\/strong> The amount of data that companies generate is expected to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/resources\/research-reports\/state-of-data-analytics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">increase 22% on average over the next 12 months<\/a>, according to Salesforce research. Yet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mulesoft.com\/lp\/reports\/connectivity-benchmark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">81% of IT leaders say data silos hinder digital transformation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salesforce perspective: Parameswaran shared that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AI and automation is fundamentally revolutionising how business operate: <\/strong>\u201cIt is all coming down to two things \u2013 how well do you know a customer, which comes down to how well your data is organise; how personalised are you going to be in terms of offering the right product for that customer at that point in time, and how do you wow the customer.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Salesforce\u2019s approach to AI: <\/strong>\u201cOver the last 18 months, we\u2019ve seen the whole focus shift from predictive to generative AI. The scale at which this is operating and the promise that it holds is clearly is going to disrupt and transform every industry, every function, everything that we do. Every customer is keen to figure out how they can jump on that bandwagon. So we are innovating fast and furious to help our customers in that journey.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Three problems companies need to address to build trusted AI:<\/strong> \u201cYou\u2019ve got to solve a trust layer problem in the organisation. Second, the underlying data model is going to be the key to how accurate your AI predictions can be. The third part is how we want to drive efficiency and productivity for your organisation.\u201d\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>How to ensure data integrity, privacy, and security: <\/strong>\u201cAt Salesforce, AI starts with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/in\/artificial-intelligence\/trusted-ai\/?d=cta-body-promo-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Einstein Trust Layer<\/a>, and that trust layer is all about looking at your data and making sure that the data is where it needs to be. We don\u2019t own customers&#8217; data or store it. We&#8217;re very clear about our data use and policy.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"more-from-block more-from-block--2 alignfull wp-block-newsroom-moreontopic\">\n\t<div
