Since 2005, he has been leading the evaluation, deal execution and integration of<br \/>\nSalesforce\u2019s corporate strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as investments.<\/p>\n<p>John\u2019s team has helped bring the company into significant new growth areas and onboarded a number of key leaders through more than 80 acquisitions including Airkit, Click, Convergence.ai, Datorama, Demandware, ExactTarget, MuleSoft, Own Company, Spiff, SteelBrick, Slack, Tableau and Vlocity.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2009, Salesforce Ventures has invested over $6 billion in over 400 leading companies including Airtable, Auth0, Box, Databricks, DocuSign, Guild Education, monday.com, nCino,<br \/>\nSnowflake, Snyk, Stripe, Twilio, Wiz and Zoom. John\u2019s team created the Generative AI Fund investing in some of the most promising startups including Anthropic, Cohere, Hugging Face,<br \/>\nMistral, RunwayML, and Typeface. John\u2019s investment team has deployed capital across 28 countries currently in 25. There have been 36 IPOs and 175+ exits from the portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>John is a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association.<\/p>\n<p>He holds a B.A. from
