{"id":19260,"date":"2018-12-21T05:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-21T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/?p=19260"},"modified":"2020-09-18T00:36:08","modified_gmt":"2020-09-18T00:36:08","slug":"city-of-chicago-launches-new-311-system-built-on-the-salesforce-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/city-of-chicago-launches-new-311-system-built-on-the-salesforce-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Chicago Launches New 311 System Built on the Salesforce Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week, Chicago Mayor Emanuel announced the launch of the city\u2019s new, modernized 311 system, making it even easier for Chicago residents to access city services with an updated system that&#8217;s more accessible, transparent and user-friendly.<\/p><p>Chicago\u2019s new 311 system is built on the Salesforce Platform and will:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li>Improve resident experience by making it easier to find information, submit requests and track status of requests.  <\/li> <li>Give residents the ability to find information or submit requests through multiple media channels, including City of Chicago\u2019s first ever mobile app.  <\/li> <li>Make it easier to identify opportunities for improvement with continuous monitoring and performance measurements.  <\/li> <li>Optimize service delivery to decrease time to complete a service request.  <\/li> <li>Enable departments to better manage and track their work.  <\/li> <\/ul><p>According to Mayor Emanuel, \u201cThe new, modernized 311 is a smarter system, it is a stronger system, and it is a system that works in real-time that will transform the relationship between residents and City service.
