As the #1 CRM platform, Salesforce gives companies transparency and control of customer data to accelerate compliance with regulations such as the GDPR, while still being able to harness the power of data to connect with customers in new ways.<\/p><p>GDPR is a new, comprehensive data protection law in the EU that will greatly strengthen the protection of personal data. GDPR expands the privacy rights of EU individuals and places new obligations on all organizations that market, track or handle EU personal data. It updates and replaces the patchwork of national data protection laws currently in place with a single set of rules, directly enforceable in each EU member state. That\u2019s why organizations around the world are thinking through the steps that they need to take in order to comply.<\/p><p>At Salesforce, trust is our #1 value and the protection of our customers\u2019 data is paramount. Salesforce welcomes this new law as an important step forward in streamlining data protection requirements across the European Union and as an opportunity for Salesforce to deepen our commitment to data protection.<\/p><p>Salesforce\u2019s GDPR Resource site outlines the steps companies need to take to comply with the GDPR.<\/p><p>The new site also includes links to<a href=\"https:\/\/trailhead.salesforce.com\/en\/modules\/european-union-privacy-law-basics?d=7010M000000uMbbQAE\"> Trailhead learning modules<\/a> on key GDPR principles and how to implement a GDPR compliance program at your company. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/08\/gpdr-fact-sheet.pdf\">White papers<\/a> are also available and include instructions on how companies can comply with the new regulation.
