We have exciting news to share! Brad Burns is joining Salesforce as Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, reporting to Chairman and Co-CEO Marc Benioff. Brad will officially start in his new role on August 13, 2018.<\/p>

Brad joins Salesforce from AT&T, where he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for AT&T Communications. There, he led global communications, including public relations, employee communications, reputation management, social media, and executive communications.<\/p>
He has two decades of experience providing communications counsel to executive teams in highly-competitive industries, especially around financial and M&A communications, high-visibility product launches, communicating globally and intensive issues management.<\/p>
Brad will oversee Salesforce\u2019s communication organization including PR and Corporate Communications, Corporate Messaging and Content, the Salesforce Newsroom and Blog. <\/p>

Prior to AT&T, Brad was Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for Revolution LLC, the venture firm created by AOL co-founder Steve Case. He also led global corporate communications for MCI. He began his career at Ogilvy Public Relations in Washington, D.C.<\/p>
Brad holds a B.A. from Southern Methodist University. He is an executive board member of SMU\u2019s Meadows School of the Arts, an advisory board member of SMU\u2019s School of Communications Studies and is a former adjunct professor of Georgetown University\u2019s Corporate Communications program.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
