More than 40 Oakland, California high school students came to Salesforce\u2019s headquarters in San Francisco for the afternoon of computer science education. <\/p><p>Salesforce Developer Evangelist and Director of Trailhead <a href=\"https:\/\/na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.salesforce.com%2Fcompany%2Fnews-press%2Fstories%2F2018%2F5%2F053118%2F&amp;data=02%7C01%7CJessica.Martin%40zenogroup.com%7C44b32116fcfb4fac433308d5ee9eb8cf%7Cb824bfb3918e43c2bb1cdcc1ba40a82b%7C0%7C0%7C636677287834854465&amp;sdata=4I0k%2FblmNO8rdM2PnW0iC2GgUeYpfLO1p4eEUZXxfgw%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Leah McGowen-Hare<\/a> hosted the event, providing the students hands-on experience in building an app on the Salesforce Platform. The students took advantage of Salesforce\u2019s free learning platform, <a href=\"https:\/\/trailhead.salesforce.com\/\">Trailhead<\/a>, to learn new skills and earn badges for completing courses.<\/p><p>\u201cThis opened my eyes to the possibilities of what I could do,\u201d said student participant DJ Edwards. \u201cIn middle school, I felt like technology was above me, like I wasn\u2019t smart enough for it, but when I came to Hidden Genius I saw anyone could do it.\u201d<\/p><p>The event was featured in a segment on <a href=\"https:\/\/sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com\/video\/3903477-hidden-genius-project-works-to-expand-diversity-in-technology\/\">CBS KPIX-TV<\/a>, which showcased Salesforce\u2019s commitment to building
