The World Economic Forum (WEF) today announced<\/a> Uplink, a new, open-source digital platform to foster mass participation from entrepreneurs, community groups and other interested parties or individuals to meet the UN\u2019s Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>

The product of a one-year collaboration between WEF, Salesforce, Deloitte, and Microsoft, Uplink will provide a means for entrepreneurs, experts and others who might not have access to working closely with WEF to crowd-source ideas and innovations to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>

\u201cBy pairing the World Economic Forum\u2019s unrivaled ability to convene leaders from across all stakeholder groups with UpLink\u2019s potential for massive, open-source participation, we have created a unique formula for catalyzing the knowledge, ideas and actions necessary to solve our world\u2019s greatest development challenges,\u201d said Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.<\/p>

UpLink will launch at the World Economic Forum\u2019s Annual Meeting 2020 in Davos, Switzerland, January 21-24, 2020. The first platform will focus on Sustainable Development Goal 14, related to underwater life. Other platforms will be launched in time for the UN\u2019s OceansConference in Lisbon in June 2020, followed by the Forum\u2019s Sustainable Development Impact Summit 2020 in September. All 17 platforms are scheduled to be launched by January 2021.<\/p>
