Over the past few months, we have been working diligently to support our employees as they navigate this difficult time. The safety of our employees and communities remains paramount. And while we continue to work on plans to reopen our offices safely, the timing of when we bring employees back will be unique to each office \u2014 and we will continue to make those decisions in a way that\u2019s consistent with local government guidelines and the advice of our medical experts and local leadership team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on this guidance \u2014 and to give employees the ability to plan ahead \u2014 we have decided to extend our work-from-home period, allowing all employees to continue working from home until at least July 31, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We understand that moving our offices to our homes is not always easy or comfortable \u2014 especially for those with families at home or for those who are feeling isolated \u2014 and we\u2019re working hard to address the unique needs of our employees during this time. To ensure that our employees have what they need to continue working from home, we are offering $250<\/strong> for office tools and equipment – in addition to the $250 provided earlier in the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To deepen our support for working parents \u2014 many of whom are experiencing a difficult start to the school year \u2014 we\u2019ve expanded our family care leave<\/strong>, making parents eligible for six weeks of paid time off. In June, we increased our global back-up childcare offerings <\/strong>through the summer so employees can get reimbursed up to $100 per day for 5 days each month. And today, we’ve extended that through the end of January 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In all situations where schools have been closed and students are learning remotely, parents and guardians will be allowed to work from home<\/strong>, even if that date extends beyond our offices re-opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At Salesforce, our people are our biggest asset.
