In a year that has been anything but normal, this year Salesforce is bringing the magic of Dreamforce to living rooms and kitchens around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opening a different kind of Dreamforce keynote today, Salesforce Chair and CEO Marc Benioff stood before a holiday-themed Salesforce Park with a message of the power of community amidst uncertainty. Whether it\u2019s innovation or philanthropy, or culture,\u201d said Benioff. \u201cWe are trailblazers, together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Doing right and doing good is what is driving our culture forward.&#8221;<\/p><cite>Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO, Salesforce<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Benioff also welcomed Stewart Butterfield, CEO of Slack, to the Dreamforce keynote. Salesforce <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/press-releases\/2020\/12\/01\/salesforce-definitive-agreement-update\/\" target=\"_blank\">yesterday announced<\/a> the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Slack*, saying that combining Slack with Salesforce Customer 360 will be transformative for customers and the industry. The combination will create the operating system for the new way to work, uniquely enabling companies to grow and succeed in the all-digital world. [we\u2019re] doing business over Zoom; consumer goods companies are going direct to consumer via custom apps. We\u2019re not going back \u2026 When I look at what it means to grow in this new normal, it\u2019s Slack plus the Customer 360.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Digital experience is no longer a \u201cnice-to-have.\u201d It\u2019s an imperative.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Every business, Taylor continued, across every industry, needs to deliver seamless, connected digital experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis year is all about change. We have gone digital overnight. And we\u2019ve been using this phrase with our customers, &#8216;the digital imperative,&#8217; because, let\u2019s be honest, it\u2019s 2020. This year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/resources\/research-reports\/state-of-the-connected-customer\/?d=cta-body-promo-230\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>State of the Connected Customer<\/em> report<\/a> surveyed 12,000 consumers and 3,600 business buyers worldwide, and found that no less than 88% of them expect companies to accelerate digital initiatives due to COVID-19.
