The summit will also include representation from Salesforce partners, customers, and luminaries from a wide range of industries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past year, we have endured a global pandemic that revealed some of society\u2019s deepest inequalities, and faced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/blog\/stand-with-black-community\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reckoning of racial justice<\/a>, violence and hate. Our company and our industry have been called to act and this year\u2019s event is one piece of our larger commitment to racial equality. Last year we formed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/company\/equality\/racial-equality-justice-taskforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Racial Equality and Justice Task Force <\/a>to drive systemic change across four P\u2019s \u2014 people, purchasing, philanthropy and policy \u2014 and since then, we\u2019ve set <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/our-next-actions-on-racial-equality-and-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new goals and metrics<\/a>, stood up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/our-2020-annual-equality-update\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new programs and processes<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/our-quarterly-equality-update-february-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">empowered leaders<\/a> to drive change across our workplace and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know conversation alone will not solve racism or underrepresentation. But now more than ever, it\u2019s critical that we elevate and amplify the voices of Black, Latinx, Indigenous and LGBTQ+ community members in an effort to not only make space, but to change the space to be more inclusive for the generations that follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/representation-matters-salesforces-annual-racial-equality-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Last year<\/a>, in front of a virtual audience of over one million viewers and featuring keynote speaker (writer, producer, and director <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avaduvernay.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ava DuVernay<\/a>), the summit covered topics such as advocating for voter access, the power of inclusive (9:00 a.m. PT)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2015 to 2020, minority founders received only <a href=\"http:\/\/about.crunchbase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/2020_crunchbase_diversity_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2.4%<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/about.crunchbase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/2020_crunchbase_diversity_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$87.3 billion dollars<\/a> in VC funding that was raised by U.S. companies. We have the ability to build the wealth and power that were taken from our communities, but it requires action. This session will discuss ways to reach a more equitable world by bridging the gap and empowering minority business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aligning Your Career with Your Purpose (10:00 a.m. PT)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finding a way to align passion with your career takes a lot of courage and creativity. This session hears from purpose-driven professionals who have created careers that not only keep them inspired, but also make an impact for their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mental Health Matters (10:40 a.m. PT)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the ongoing racial reckoning, taking care of our mental health and wellbeing is more important now than ever. This session includes a conversation on how to prioritize and protect your peace, and an exploration on the importance of destigmatizing mental health in communities of color.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Using Your Platform For Change (11:30 a.m. PT)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all have the power to create social change and have a positive impact. This portion of the event will explore the intersection of social platforms and social change.
