{"id":56118,"date":"2022-05-04T08:58:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T15:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/?p=56118"},"modified":"2023-02-24T13:54:09","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T21:54:09","slug":"asu-and-salesforces-trailhead-academy-join-forces-to-close-the-digital-skills-gap%ef%bf%bc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/asu-and-salesforces-trailhead-academy-join-forces-to-close-the-digital-skills-gap%ef%bf%bc\/","title":{"rendered":"ASU and Salesforce\u2019s Trailhead Academy Join Forces to Close the Digital Skills Gap"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Arizona State University (ASU) is now a Salesforce <a href=\"https:\/\/trailheadacademy.salesforce.com\/training-providers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Authorized Training Provider (ATP)<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Salesforce ATP program is powered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/blog\/what-is-trailhead-academy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Trailhead Academy<\/a>, which empowers individuals and businesses to build and validate in-demand digital skills with expert-led learning programs, role-based credentials, and workforce development strategies designed to fuel net-new talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Driving the news:<\/strong> By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2020\/12\/4-ways-to-reskill-the-global-workforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025, the demand for digital skills is expected to rise by more than 50%<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/salesforce-digital-skills-index-details-major-gaps-across-19-countries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent study<\/a>, however, Salesforce uncovered that the global workforce feels they lack the proper digital skills to prepare them for the future. Nearly three out of four study respondents say they aren\u2019t equipped with the resources needed to learn the digital skills they need to succeed in the current and future workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By launching their ATP program, ASU is helping close this ever-widening digital skills gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\u2019s the impact: <\/strong>As an ATP, ASU will bring Salesforce-authorized training content and faculty support to a new demographic \u2014 community college and university students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>These students will be empowered to learn new skills and gain pathways to careers in the Salesforce ecosystem \u2014 which is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/press-releases\/2021\/09\/20\/idc-salesforce-economy-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expected to grow exponentially<\/a> by 2026.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>ASU, through its <a href=\"https:\/\/wpcarey.asu.edu\/aznext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AZNext Program<\/a>, will deliver content by leveraging Trailhead Academy\u2019s innovative, expert-led learning programs.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The AZNext Program is a public-private partnership designed to create a bold, innovative, and sustaining workforce development ecosystem that addresses the need for more skilled workers in IT, now including pathways to Salesforce careers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Salesforce perspective: <\/strong>&#8220;We are excited to partner with Arizona State University to expand their workforce development program and unlock new sources of talent by driving Salesforce skills that lead students to career pathways in the Salesforce ecosystem,\u201d said Amy Regan Morehouse, Senior Vice President of Trailhead Academy &amp; GTM.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What they\u2019re saying: \u201c<\/strong>Organizations are transforming their businesses through digital platforms.
