Challenge innovations may include solutions such as:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Redesigned indoor and outdoor spaces that bring residents, visitors, and new businesses to the area while utilizing sustainable materials that minimize the city\u2019s carbon footprint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reimagined ideas for urban food production to provide healthy, reliable nutrition to the community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovative approaches to water conservation and reuse that stimulate equitable job creation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions will be <a href=\"https:\/\/uplink.weforum.org\/uplink\/s\/uplink-issue\/a002o0000174PQwAAM\/yes-san-francisco-urban-sustainability-challenge?utm_source=Partner%20PR&amp;utm_medium=Challenge%20Page&amp;utm_campaign=26-05-2023_Email-Press-Release_to_Yes-San-Francisco-Urban-Sustainability-Challenge&amp;utm_id=San%20Francisco%20Urban%20Sustainability%20Challenge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accepted<\/a> from June 8 until August 11, 2023, and top innovators will be announced in September.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fast facts:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The challenge is hosted on <a href=\"https:\/\/uplink.weforum.org\/uplink\/s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UpLink<\/a>, a global hub for innovation launched by the World Economic Forum, with support from Deloitte, Salesforce, at Davos in 2020.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The platform hosts challenges to source ideas from entrepreneurs and experts to address the most pressing global issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UpLink has run more than 48 challenges and selected over 400 \u201cTop Innovators\u201d with innovative solutions across critical areas of the United Nations\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/goals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>, including health, food, freshwater, ocean, plastics, education, climate, and more.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Soundbites:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cThe challenge provides an opportunity for Deloitte, Salesforce, and the World Economic Forum to enable the ambition and creativity of innovators to build solutions that are driven by the community, for the community.
