New Salesforce research reveals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/agentforce\/what-are-ai-agents\/?d=cta-body-promo-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI agents<\/a> could help rebuild it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Constituents around the world agree there\u2019s room for improvement when it comes to government service. Forty percent struggle with government interactions, and over a third are unsure of available programs. However, the research indicates overwhelming public support for AI solutions \u2014 with 90% of global constituents saying they\u2019d use an AI agent to engage with their government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why it matters:<\/strong> The arrival of AI agents presents governments with an exciting opportunity to strengthen public trust by streamlining services and speeding up response times. And in the face of tightening budgets, agents can augment public servants and better serve their constituents \u2014 without having to add headcount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salesforce perspective:<\/strong> \u201cIt is clear from our research that there is a need for AI solutions like Salesforce\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/agentforce\/?d=cta-body-promo-8\" href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/agentforce\/?d=cta-body-promo-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Agentforce<\/a> that help governments streamline and scale services to better meet help.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Less than half of survey respondents find it easy to understand what public services (<strong>42%<\/strong>) and public assistance programs (<strong>46%<\/strong>) are available to them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Top service delivery improvements<\/strong> desired by global constituents include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reducing the number of steps to address needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responding to their needs faster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Constituents eager to engage with agents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>90%<\/strong> of global respondents said they\u2019d use an AI agent to interact with the public sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constituents in <strong>Brazil, Spain, Singapore, and<\/strong> <strong>Italy<\/strong> are among the most willing to use AI agents to interact with the public sector, providing these countries with the opportunity to be trailblazers in the agentic AI era.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>20%<\/strong> <strong>of German and American respondents<\/strong> say they\u2019re <strong>very likely <\/strong>to use an AI agent to help fill out government forms (e.g. filing taxes, completing applications).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Global respondents prioritized these <strong>three factors when considering using AI agents<\/strong> in the public sector:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>47%<\/strong> said providing 24\/7 access to information and services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>44%<\/strong> said helping them efficiently access government resources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>40%<\/strong> said reducing the number of websites and steps needed to address their needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<aside
