The discussion revealed both the challenges and opportunities of AI adoption, and emphasized the need for speed alongside data quality, trust, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/unlocking-digital-labor-opportunity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unified platform approach<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Driving the news: <\/strong>The panel featured executives from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/opentable-agentforce-service-cloud-customer-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OpenTable<\/a>, Copado, and Saltbox, who are each using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/agentforce\/?d=cta-body-promo-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Agentforce<\/a> as their platform for building and deploying agentic AI. Together with Salesforce technical leaders, the panel discussed how AI agents are improving productivity, efficiency, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What they&#8217;re saying:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;AI isn\u2019t a passing trend \u2014 it\u2019s here to stay. The real question is, how fast can you move?\u201d said Shayne Smyth, CTO at Saltbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;AI doesn\u2019t belong everywhere. The key is finding bottlenecks \u2014 where time is wasted. It could be streamlining discovery, refining user stories, or even automating regression testing,\u201d said Gloria Ramchandani, SVP, Copado.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;When you build an API that instantly answers questions and integrates seamlessly\u200c \u2014 \u200cwhether it\u2019s OpenTable or another system\u200c \u2014 \u200cthat\u2019s where the real value of AI shines,\u201d said George Pokorny, SVP, OpenTable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salesforce Chief Engineering Officer Srini Tallapragada added additional POV<\/strong>. AI outputs and actions, he explained, are only as good as the data it&#8217;s being fed. And for most companies, data is siloed in a way that makes it nearly inaccessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;The problem isn\u2019t a lack of data \u2014 it\u2019s that most of it is trapped. APIs are locked away, and data lakes are inaccessible to the people who need them most. Right now, only data analysts can unlock insights, but for business users, it&#8217;s like searching in the dark,\u201d said <strong>Tallapragada.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Between the lines: <\/strong>Data silos, point-solution apps, and too many systems are like disjointed parts that companies have to self-assemble, with escalating security risks and costs.
