The agent draws on real-time data \u2014 sales, inventory, competitor pricing \u2014 to make informed, up-to-the-minute decisions. Meanwhile, human teams define escalation processes so they can review any flagged issues or anomalies, ensuring efficiency without compromising their control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Common implementation pitfalls include deploying agentic AI without proper data governance or failing to set clear performance metrics. The National Retail Federation has launched AI working groups to help retailers share best practices and avoid these mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere&#8217;s definitely a learning curve,\u201d
