Salesforce employees to volunteer 45,000 hours in Australia in the coming year <\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salesforce Tower Sydney to be one of Australia’s most sustainable office campuses<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SYDNEY, October 1, 2019 \u2014<\/b>Salesforce (NYSE:CRM), the global leader in CRM, today announced Salesforce Tower Sydney, significantly expanding the company\u2019s presence in Australia since the company first opened its doors locally in 2004. As part of the expansion, Salesforce announced plans to add 1,000 new jobs in Sydney over the next five years, helping fuel the city\u2019s economic development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salesforce Tower Sydney will rise 53 storeys above the city, sitting at the heart of the central business district with views across the iconic Sydney Harbour, Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Once completed, Salesforce Tower Sydney will be the tallest in the city and the second tallest in Australia as well as one of the country\u2019s most sustainable buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salesforce employees will start moving into Salesforce Tower Sydney beginning in late 2022. Plans for the building include a top \u201cOhana Floor\u201d \u2013 an open hospitality space for Salesforce employees, customers and partners, which will also be available for non-profits and local education groups on weeknights and weekends at no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salesforce Tower Sydney is one of ten Towers the company has announced in key markets including its headquarters in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, London, Tokyo, Dublin, Indianapolis, and Atlanta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comments on the News <\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe establishment of Salesforce Tower goes to show the strength of the NSW tech and innovation ecosystem. New Innovations in Sustainability<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salesforce Tower Sydney will be one of the most sustainable office campuses in the city. The building has achieved Sydney’s first-ever WELL core and Shell Platinum pre-certification and is pursuing 6 Star Green Star Design and As Built rating, representing world excellence in sustainable design. The design focuses on energy efficiency, reducing water use and greenhouse gas emissions as well as limiting construction waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Tower Supports Salesforce’s Continued Growth in Australia

<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salesforce has been named one of Fortune\u2019s Best Places to Work for the past 10 years and was recently named Australia\u2019s #1 Best Place to Work by Great Place to Work for the second year in a row. Salesforce Tower Sydney will be a hub for world-class, diverse talent, enabling the company to deliver new innovations to its more than 150,000 customers around the world. Salesforce has more than 2,000 employees in Australia and Australia is home to many Salesforce customers including Telstra, National Australia Bank, Big Red Group, Seafolly, NSW Government and Luxury Escapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 15 Years of Giving Back in Australia<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Salesforce opened its doors in Sydney 15 years ago, employees in Australia have volunteered more than 153,000 hours with local nonprofits such as including Dress for Success, Starlight Children\u2019s Foundation, Vision Australia and Foodbank Australia. In addition, more than 900 companies across Australia have committed to Pledge 1%, an initiative spearheaded by Salesforce that encourages and challenges individuals and companies to pledge 1% equity, product and employee time for their communities. Local Australian companies that have joined Pledge 1% include Atlassian, Hub Australia, and CAPITAL-e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, Salesforce has powered more than 37,000 nonprofits and higher education institutions around the world; Salesforce.org has provided more than $230 million in grants; and Salesforce employees have logged more than 3.2 million volunteer hours throughout the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
