Hello, admins! The
NextGen admin role is
becoming the most
strategic seat in the
room. And here to
talk about why, I am
joined by the admin
dream team. Rebecca
Saar, Mike Gerho, and
Lisa ****, welcome.
Going well? TD
excellent. Yeah, TD
excellent, this is what
I wanted to hear. So,
Rebecca, when people
hear NextGen admin,
it can kind of sound
like a rebrand.
Can you tell us
a little bit more
about what's
actually changing?
Sure, well, I mean,
the big question is,
what isn't changing
right now, right? I mean,
we heard in the
keynote just yesterday,
development is
changing fundamentally.
The way we work is
changing fundamentally.
And so is how we
build on the platform
and govern the
Salesforce platform.
And so the NextGen
admin, it's really
about meeting the
moment and understanding
all the
opportunities of what
it means to run an
agentic enterprise.
And it's about
admin relations
thinking deeply
about what that means
and talking with
the community
and really building
a dialogue around
what the next
-gen admin can be.
Well, like you
said, the work isn't
going away. It's
just changing.
So what exactly
are the changes?
Well, I'm happy to talk
about that. I mean,
the biggest change
is admins really
continue to live at
the intersection of
technology and business.
Now we own judgment.
With AI making decisioning
cheap, judgment
is where everything
lives, and that's where
the admin seat is. So
now we can really spend
time with our users
and our stakeholders
to iron out those
processes because we have,
like, set up with
AgentForce to build
objects and fields and
apps for us so we can
get the business up
and running and really
focus on the critical
things where we can make
that app use all of
the analytics, all of
the data that's available
to it so that the
business is making
judgment decisions. So
the admin governs the
enterprise and governs
judgment for the
enterprise. Well, it's
like we talk about
AI and humans working
together really puts
admins truly in the seat of
figuring out how to
best put AI to work,
right? And like you
said, it shifts a little
bit, but they are
incredibly valuable because
they have that
insight, that business
acumen, knowing how the
organization works and
how to put AI to work
for them. So great.
So security
is also top of
mind when we
talk about AI.
Lisa, can you talk
to us a little bit
about how security
is really playing
a role in the admin
shift here? Yeah,
well, security is
always top of mind.
And on the admin
team, we're incredibly
excited. We're going to
be launching a hands-on
security workshop
covering data and access.
But in general,
governance, security,
those aren't blockers,
right? That's
the job. And having
strong foundations
of trust, that's
how we scale agents.
And admins make
that trust real. and
having really impeccable
security practices
is really how you
build that trust.
Yeah, trust, I mean,
it's our number
one value as a
company, right? And
it's the number one
thing that admins
have to think about
all of the time.
So if we zoom out
a little bit, we're
thinking kind of big
picture here. How
should admins rethink
their role? Rebecca?
I really would like
them to be thinking
about how they are
the guardian of trust.
They're not only
building bespoke
solutions, they're
running a system. They're
accountable for the
system, and part of
that is building
trust in the system.
And that means
it's secure,
it's reliable,
and it's scalable.
So you're really
thinking of yourself
as this systems
thinker that is
accountable for the
outcomes of the system.
Mike, anything else
to add there? I
mean, really, admins
sit right where
they need to be
because they're in
the business units,
but they know the
technology that
needs to support it.
Now they have agents
that can help them
build faster. They
have agents that can
help them ramp
applications quicker, and
they can really dive
in and work with their
developers and architects
to build systems
of legacy that help
the organization
move forward faster.
I like that. Systems
of legacy. Solutions
that kind of last.
Legacy sounds bad,
but I mean, you really
want something that's
going to grow with the
business and grow as
the business needs to
change. and that's what
they can do and with
the agent builder I
mean you don't have to
sit and write thousands
lines of code it'll
do it for you and
that gets you to what
you need to deliver
quicker as opposed to just
spending all day making
fields and objects
well and one of the
things I think is so
unique about admins is
they really understand
their end users
perspective right I mean
that's their number
one customer and so you
need that perspective
people could build
all kinds of great
things with AgentBuilder,
with AI, but unless
you're really thinking
about the experience
of the people who are
using it, you're missing
a big piece there.
Well, you guys are
amazing. Thank you
so much. We love our
awesome admins, and
I really appreciate
you being here, and
thank you so much
for those insights.

agent for tasks like
managing your users,
creating objects and
troubleshooting errors.
agent, you are
in control.
The agent always seeks
confirmation before
taking action. It only
assists you with the
tasks when you have the
correct permissions.
And you can track
every change
in the Setup audit trail.
Let's see the
agent in action.
On Setup Home, type your
request or question.
In this example, ask
the agent's help with
creating a new custom
object and fields.
The agent suggests a
proposed data model.
You can make changes
to the object
or its fields,
or confirm the
proposal to
create the object.
Next, you want
to set up access
for your new
custom object.
Ask the agent to
create a new permission
set with the permissions
that you specify.
The agent displays a
draft permission set.
Simply respond
to make updates,
saving you
dozens of clicks.
The next day,
one of your users
is having
trouble accessing
the new property
custom object.
Ask the agent for
help troubleshooting
The agent confirms
that your user
doesn't have the
access he needs.
So you work with the
agent to make sure your
user is granted the
right permission set.
Finally, the
agent can help you
stay on task in
Setup by answering

sourcing information
directly from
Salesforce Help.
And it can even
