Keir Bowden is a Trailblazer

Keir Bowden has spent almost 20 years in the Salesforce ecosystem, evolving from financial services and Java-based consulting to Certified Technical Architect and now independent consultant. While his career has spanned roles, industries, and 20 Salesforce certifications, one belief shapes everything he builds today: AI should augment people, not replace them.

That philosophy came to life in his work with Arjo, a global medical device company whose sales team was spending too much time on administrative work and not enough time with customers. Using Agentforce, Keir helped automate routine tasks, identify dormant accounts, and surface the right customer insights at the right time, reducing an eight-minute manual process to about 30 seconds and giving sales teams back valuable time to focus on relationships.

For Keir, building AI solutions is only part of the work. Equally important is helping organizations adopt them responsibly. Today, he's focused on AI readiness, security, compliance, and testing probabilistic systems, topics he explores in his book, Software Testing on the Salesforce Platform , including how to test AI itself.

As a Hall of Fame Salesforce MVP, Keir spends much of his time helping developers build responsibly with AI. His advice is straightforward: nail the fundamentals before you hand the work to an agent. If you don’t understand what good looks like, you cannot judge whether the agent got it right. It’s a mindset that has resonated with developers at every stage of their Salesforce journey.
