Compassion in Action
Join Larry Brilliant, Epidemiologist and Philanthropist, and Adam Grant, Professor, The Wharton School of Business and New York Times Best Selling Author, in a timely conversation on resilience, personal empowerment, and activism in today's world. Their discussion will focus on Compassion at the Personal Level: Suffering, Grief and Resilience. Larry will then be joined by Rev Earl Smith and Iris Brilliant to discuss Compassion in the Community: Service and Activism. Reverend Earl Smith became the youngest chaplain ever hired by the California Department of Corrections when he was asked to become the chaplain at San Quentin in 1983. In 2000, Earl was named National Correctional Chaplain of the Year. He currently serves as chaplain for the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors.
