Join us for a fireside chat with Betty Reid Soskin and Tony Prophet. At 96, Betty is the oldest active National Parks Ranger. Her legacy ranges from clerking in a segregated union hall during World War II, to political activism during the Civil Rights Era, to working as a congressional field representative. Betty played a key role in shaping and designing the Rosie the Riveter World War II Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, CA, ensuring that the reality of history - including racism, segregation, and sexism - weren't left out of the narrative. Today, Betty continues to drive equality by teaching history classes to the public at the National Parks Service.
