Technology-Enabled Population Health

Technology-Enabled Population Health

How can technology further benefit the health of our population? Other industries have already seen the effects of this disruption but health prevention has been slower to latch on.

While medical professionals do a great job of caring for patients, they treat many diseases that could have been prevented. By making an investment in health prevention technology, we have the opportunity to lower the costs of treatment and see better health overall for more individuals.

Karen DeSalvo, Professor of Medicine and Population Health, UT Austin Dell Medical School and former Acting Assistant Secretary for Health, US Department of Health and Human Services joins this episode of Leading Edge to talk about the importance of innovation within the health space.

Karen will discuss:
- How we can bring together the best of technology and medicine to solve the greatest problems facing the health of population.
- The ways in which technology can improve a patient's experience and ultimately provide them with better service and care.

Karen De Salvo is a world-renowned physician and public health expert.
