Expanding Social Capital and Equity: Non-Profits That Are Changing The Game
Education has been the cornerstone of economic mobility, but with the increase in Americans pursuing postsecondary degrees, why are income inequality and wage stagnation also on the rise? How do social networks impact individuals’ economic circumstances, and what can public-private partnerships and non-profits do to improve equity? Today, we hear from two social enterprise CEOs about how their organizations are working to increase social capital and economic mobility. Kalani Leifer is the Founder and CEO of COOP, a non-profit that is building a movement of diverse, upwardly mobile college grads overcoming underemployment through digital skills and peer connections.
