Global data silos and visibility gaps

The Adecco Group’s technology landscape had grown fragmented over time. While many of their regional headquarters used an integrated Salesforce front office, critical data was still dispersed across homegrown tools, 30 separate Salesforce instances supporting 5,000 local agencies in over 60 countries, and dozens of third-party systems like Microsoft Azure.

For multinational customers like Amazon, recruiting at scale requires local execution with global oversight. Roles must be posted in the right regions, but leaders still need a unified view of application flow, fill rates, and recruiter performance across every market. With data spread across disconnected systems, global account managers had a harder time monitoring performance, delivering consistent experiences, and identifying opportunities to improve speed and cost to serve.

Unified data foundation

Adecco built a single, unified data foundation with Data 360, harmonizing all Salesforce instances and third-party systems into one real-time view of candidates and clients used by recruiters in Agentforce Sales. “Data 360 is instrumental. Without it, we couldn’t serve our largest customers,” said Greg Shewmaker, SVP of Global Operations and AI.

With low-code, point-and-click setup for Adecco’s tech teams, Data 360 enables calculated insights, automation, and advanced segmentation across regions. Behind the scenes, MuleSoft integrates Data 360 with core systems like ERP, payroll, and middle-office contract platforms.

Real-time visibility for recruiters

With data flowing into Agentforce Sales via Data 360 recruiters and account managers gain a real-time view of every candidate and customer across regions. Comprehensive profiles including assignment histories, availability, skills, and performance metrics give teams instant insight into who’s ready for employment, which roles are filling fastest, and where to focus next.

Calculated insights like fill rates, margins, and order intake also allow global account managers to facilitate high-volume hiring — such as 100-person campaigns across multiple regions for events like Black Friday — and make adjustments before delays occur.

Smarter matching with Agentforce

Beyond profiles and KPIs, Data 360 powers a shared knowledge base combining structured and unstructured data from company details and job specifications to offers and new products. Agentforce reasons across this data to provide recruiters with relevant insights about client prospects, helping them match candidates to roles with precision.

By removing their candidate and client data from regional silos, Adecco’s teams can work more efficiently across regions. Recruiters and sales teams can respond faster, tailor client solutions more effectively, and maintain a high-quality, repeatable process across markets.

“Data 360 unlocks end-to-end visibility,” said Luc Paradis, VP of IT and Front Office Technology. “That visibility and harmonization of data is key to our success.”

Why the Adecco Group chose Salesforce

Unified, trusted platform

Salesforce gave Adecco something competitors couldn’t: a single, trusted platform to build an agent-first recruiting system at global scale. “We’re combining hearts, minds, and technology with Salesforce,” explained Denis Machuel, CEO. “Technology can augment the experience of every single recruiter and candidate who trusts us with their future.”

Trust Layer

The Trust Layer allows the company to use AI within a secure environment by protecting candidate and client data at every step. All data processing adheres to Salesforce Trust policies and international regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, and audit trails for AI-generated recommendations and actions provide transparency and accountability.

Low-code, point-and-click setup

Data 360’s low-code builder tool allows Adecco’s teams to access, manage, and transform data without technical expertise. Users can integrate structured and unstructured data from across their tech stack, build metrics, and create audience segments with ease. This approach accelerates development, improves data quality, and ensures precise, efficient access to insights — all within a secure, governed platform.
