Account Engagement+ allows AAccount Engagement customers to access Marketing Cloud Growth and Advanced Editions via Permission Set Licenses. This allows all Account Engagement customers to enhance their marketing with Agentforce-powered campaigns, native SMS and WhatsApp, and advanced personalization capabilities.
Account Engagement customers can access Marketing Cloud Growth or Advanced Edition functionality via Permission Set Licenses (PSLs) with an Account Engagement+ edition. To provision these solutions alongside your existing Account Engagement environment, follow these steps:
Enable Salesforce Foundations
This gives you access to Data Cloud (a prerequisite for Growth and Advanced Editions), as well as messaging and Einstein credits. Salesforce Foundations is available at no cost and can be self-enabled in My Account.
Purchase Additional Credits
If your use cases exceed the included credits, you may purchase additional Messaging, Einstein, or Data Cloud credits as needed.
Provision Data Cloud and Enable the Data Cloud Connector
Activate Data Cloud and enable the Account Engagement: Data Cloud Connector to unify your data.
Enable and Configure Marketing Cloud Growth or Advanced Edition
Provision the appropriate edition based on your needs.
Assign User Permissions via PSLs
Use the provided Permission Set Licenses to assign access to your users.
Set Up the CMS for Content Sharing
Configure the content management system to enable asset sharing across experiences.
Customers on Account Engagement Growth Edition will receive access to Marketing Cloud Growth Edition. Customers on Account Engagement Plus, Advanced or Premium Editions, will receive access to Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition.
Account Engagement+ gives customers access to advanced features not available in Account Engagement today. These include:
Agentforce Campaign Creation: This agentic capability enables you to build campaigns, campaign briefs, emails, and even audience segments faster using natural language prompts—significantly reducing the time it takes to launch campaigns.
Multichannel Messaging: Deliver multichannel engagement journeys that include email, SMS, and WhatsAoo. Previously, SMS and WhatsApp required third-party integrations. Now, it’s fully integrated—improving ease of use, expanding use cases, and streamlining operations.
Data Unification: With Data Cloud, Account Engagement customers can build segments using all their Salesforce and non-Salesforce data in one unified platform.
Advanced Personalization: Access advanced personalization capabilities through Cross-Object Merge Fields and Rule-Based Dynamic Content. With Account Engagement+ unlocking features from Marketing Cloud Growth and Advanced Editions, you can integrate rich customer and business data from Data Cloud to personalize and optimize your in-market campaigns.
Salesforce Flow for Marketers: Orchestrate cross-channel and cross-departmental journeys with marketing, sales, service, and commerce touch points more easily. Salesforce Flow for Marketers helps unify marketing with sales, service, and commerce departments—enabling smarter engagement across every stage of the journey.
All Account Engagement customers have access to Marketing Cloud Growth Edition or Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition as part of their existing Account Engagementinstance. We are bringing access to customers via Permission Set Licenses. This means that you can access this functionality today and do not need to renew on a new SKU. This being said, Marketing Cloud Growth and Advanced Editions use a consumption based pricing model, meaning that you consume credits when you use this functionality. Account Engagement customers will need to purchase Einstein Request Credits, Messaging Credits, and Data Cloud Credits to use MC Growth and Advanced features.
Yes, of course. You are able to upgrade at any time as well as purchase additional products later on in your contract. We recommend engaging your account representative whenever you have questions around upgrades, add-ons, or contract information.
Yes, depending on your needs. While Marketing Cloud Account Engagement+ include core capabilities, some features—like Data Cloud — may require separate purchases. You may also need to purchase relevant usage credits based on your specific use cases. Optional add-ons and apps are available to extend functionality. For a tailored estimate and help understanding what’s included, please contact your Salesforce representative.
If and when your business priorities and product needs change, our editions and pricing structure has been established to cater to increases and decreases in product or solution usage.
