Hi, I'm Monica Bowie.
We've seen some
truly amazing
innovations to help you
govern the agentic
enterprise already.
And now to hear about
them in action, I'm
so excited to be
joined by Rob Power,
and Graham Russell,
Director of
Product Marketing
at Salesforce.
Welcome both
of you all to
Dreamforce. Great
to be here. How's
your week been
going so far?
Terrific. Yeah, just
terrific, Dreamforce.
You guys are vets
here. So, Rob,
I'm going to start
with you, And I
want you to tell
us about Pearson's
business and some of
the key challenges
you guys are solving
with Salesforce.
Sure. Well,
we're a 181-year
-old company
that's been doing
education for the
last 100 years.
And our mission is to
help people realize
the life they imagine
through learning.
But since humans are
born to learn, we
have to have products
and services for
every phase of life.
We have primary and
secondary education,
higher education and
vocational training,
professional and
continuing education.
And the really
exciting thing we have
now is we've partnered
with some large
enterprises to help
upskill their staff
for the future of AI.
But as you can imagine,
with that diverse
customer base, we
have operational
challenges around
agile development and
security. So that's
why we're so excited
to see what we saw
in the keynote today.
It builds on top of
what we've been doing
for the last year
with AgentForce. We're
currently working on an
agent that's going to
help us smooth the
school enrollment for our
K-12 learners in
Pearson Virtual Schools.
And we already have
three agent-for-service
agents live in production
that are giving
our customers good
answers, instant answers,
freeing up our human
service rep staff to
answer tougher
questions, more sensitive
questions that need
the human touch. I love
that. I think the
Pearson study is really
inspiring. We heard that
Pearson sees education
as a lifelong pursuit,
something that
helps people to realize
the life they want
to lead, to achieve
the goals they set for
themselves, whatever
they may be. And with
Pearson's use of agent
force, we have this
wonderful illustration
of what can be
achieved using a deeply
unified platform, helping
humans and AI agents
to work together to
deliver amazing
results, whether that's
first rate customer
service, enhanced
effectiveness,
driving efficiencies,
or in Pearson's
case, being truly
transformative to the
benefit of their
employees, learners, and
educators. So it's
just been terrific to
see that story in the
IT keynote today. I
love that. Lifelong
learners, right? Truly.
So Graham, the big
announcement here is
that the addition of
Agent 4's capabilities
to Security Center
and Privacy Center,
two important pieces,
as well as the
incredible innovations for
agent and app lifecycle
management. How
are these new tools
helping our IT teams
build for the agentic
enterprise? Monica,
in short, I think
these tools demonstrate
that the agentic
enterprise has moved from
being a future vision
to a modern working
scalable reality.
What we've seen is
the main message
out of Dreamforce
and the IT keynote
is about Salesforce
being the trusted
and secure platform
for agentic IT.
We recognize the
pressures and challenges
that IT leaders have, but
we've not just injected
random AI features
here. This is helping
customers to embed
autonomous AI agents
where it really matters
in the areas of security,
regulation and
development. So with
Security Center and
Privacy Center, now with
Agentforce, these are
game-changing solutions.
helping IT teams to
manage the security
challenges that
they all face,
regardless of their
size, scale, location,
or the industries
that they serve.
And with developers,
now we're helping to
unleash the power of
developers and the
development process
with Agent Force Vibes.
At its core, Vibe
Coding is about using
AI to convert natural
language prompts,
maybe a description
of a feature or
an application, and
converting that into
fully formed,
production-ready code.
Agent Force Vibes is
on the Salesforce trust
layer. That means
developers now have
enterprise-grade
security throughout the
development process, from
sandboxes to development,
through testing to
deployment. And the
benefits are really
clear. We're helping
developers to build
high-quality, scalable
applications faster
than ever before. I know
that's music to so
many IT leaders' ears.
And so, Rob Pearson,
you guys deal with a
lot of incredibly
sensitive data, like a lot
of our other customers
watching. So how
are the agent force
developments and the
development tools helping
you all at Pearson?
Well, the learner
data, for instance,
that we collect
that's mandated by the
states during K-12
school enrollment is in
a completely
separate instance of
Salesforce. Our security
team would want me to
be sure to say that.
Completely separate
instance of Salesforce
from our main
sales and service CRM.
But that said, for
both of those instances
of Salesforce,
security is a
non-negotiable.
So we are really
excited to see
these new things
that were announced
today because it
reinforces our
trust in the
Salesforce platform.
Agent Force for
Security, for instance,
is going to help
us make sure that
a potential incident
will be able to
be caught and resolved
before it actually
affects a learner
or a customer.
And the dev tools
are going to allow us
to continue to innovate
and build features
and provide value
to our business
stakeholders and customers
with the confidence
to know that Salesforce
is continually
investing in
protecting our data and
our customers' data. I
love that. And there's
a lot of IT leaders
watching that
will love to hear your
advice. So what advice
would you give IT
leaders tuning in?
Well, I would say,
you know, don't
underestimate the value
of a unified platform.
You know, you shouldn't
need a whole bunch
of bolt-ons to make
things work. You want
everything to be
unified so that you can
deliver quickly and
efficiently for your
business stakeholders,
for your customers.
But, you know, really
the main takeaway,
I would say, is the
technology is just
the tool, right? The
whole point is to
use that technology
to provide business
value and to fundamentally
transform the
customer experience
and the employee
experience. I love
that. Thank you guys
for both being here.
You've given so much
knowledge to so many
people watching.
And IT and the
security and the data's
privacy is super huge.
So thank you guys
again. Enjoy the
rest of your dream,
Force. And to learn
