Welcome to Release
Readiness Live.
I'm your host, Gillian
Bruce, coming to you
live from San
Francisco, where
I'll be joined by product
managers who are going
to show you the latest
and greatest innovations
coming in the
Spring '24 release.
You can ask your
questions right here
in Salesforce Plus
in that Q&A tab.
You can also ask
your questions
on the Trailblazer
community
as well as on
Twitter, or X,
or whatever
we're calling it
these days, by using the
hashtag #SalesforceRRL.
With Einstein
Copilot, we're
making it easy
and possible
to deploy a trusted
conversational AI
assistant using the data
and processes you already
So let's imagine
I'm a sales rep,
and I'm wondering
what's on my new patch
and how to get
familiar with it.
With Einstein
Copilot, instead
of clicking all
over the place,
I can simply express
these questions
in natural language, like,
list all my accounts,
and get a useful
generative answer
on desktop,
laptop, and mobile.
With Maps Lite, we
now have the ability
to see accounts,
contacts, and Leads list
And this tells us exactly
where our customers
are located so we can
make more informed selling
Clicking on the
marker on the map
gives me all
the key details
about this contact
so I can have a more
I can also toggle between
these markers on the list
view to get a location
sense of where they are.
And it's as easy as that.
Now you can see here
on the left-hand side,
all of the work that
I have been working on
is here already for me,
whether it's casework,
whether it's
messaging work.
It allows me to
be able to track
synchronous and
asynchronous
work all in a nice view
within here, including
I think it's the new
Account Intelligence
I think it's going to
be a game changer, which
is the way that AEs can
go in and make an impact
So I'm super
excited about that.
Introducing
Prompt Builder--
so if you've seen some
of the demos that's
out there, it's really,
really powerful.
But it's really
simple to use.
I actually want you
to imagine in your org
what you can do
with generative AI
and where you
would put it.
The reason that
is very exciting
is because in the GA
that is shortcoming here,
you will be able
to actually create
a couple of
different types
You can do field
generation.
You can do
record summaries.
You can also do a thing
called flex templates.
Mark Jones wants a Flo
mascot on the next RRL.
I think it's
really important
to step into the shoes
of a mobile worker.
So I'm to go ahead and
gear up really quickly.
I'm just going
to put this on.
And I also have
my hard hat.
Protecting your head
is extremely important.
Let's go ahead and
dive into mobile.
So here I am on
my phone, and I'm
going to click into
the Field Service app
because I have a little
bit of work to do.
I have a service
appointment today
So I'm going to go ahead
and click into that,
and I can see
important information,
such as directions;
my contact, who's
Lauren Bailey, who needs
a lot of service today.
We're here to serve her,
and I'm fixing a turbine.
So I'm going
to do my work.
I'm going to replace
that battery.
And when I'm done, It's
time to create a service
You can add that
onto your template.
You can choose
up to 10 fields
to show from your
related records.
And now, for some of
the other components,
we have things
like images--
image gallery,
which we saw,
as well as signatures,
of course rich text.
So yeah, lots of good
standard stuff there.
Any other questions
coming in for Carlos?
Yeah, Karina in the
Salesforce Plus chat
asked, can
Einstein Copilot
So there's a number
of operations
that you can do with
Einstein Copilot,
and some of the
things we were not
able to show in
this very fast demo
were, what type of
actions, actually,
can I use for
Einstein Copilot?
So if you're a Salesforce
admin, a Salesforce
developer, you're already
using Apex and Flows.
And if you're already
using prompt templates,
whatever you do with
the flow or with an apex
or with prompt
templates, you're
basically going to be able
to do it conversationally
And I can see that
Einstein has actually
recommended a new
contact for me.
From this page,
I'll actually
go ahead and add that
new contact right away.
And actually, as I've
added that contact,
I'm reminded
that there are
a couple of contacts
that I haven't
I'll go ahead and click
this View Contacts
button, which will
take me to the Contacts
From the
Intelligence view,
I can get a good look
at all of my contacts,
including those that I've
attempted to reach out
Let's go ahead and dive
into my friend Sam here.
I can see that
Sam actually
has an open service case.
So I'll definitely want
to touch on that with him
the next time I reach out.
In the Activity
tab here, I
can see some of my recent
engagements with Sam.
Yeah, that's a
great question.
For the time being,
yes, our users
will be able to use the
old Cadence Builder.
We are going to be
dedicating our resources
to that new
builder because
of these awesome
new functionalities,
especially with tracks
that we have coming.
But for this release,
yes, our customers
will have access to
that old builder.
They want to bring their
other external sources
And sometimes, they use
external connectors.
Sometimes they want to
bring in through CSV.
And with this now,
they can actually
meet their SLAs
better without needing
manual intervention
or time based.
So now they'll
get their data
faster, more reliable,
without needing
If you're in
an org that has
a lot of
invocable actions,
you have probably
experienced
trying to open
that actions panel
and watching it spin and
spin and spin forever.
And our team has been
chipping away at that
problem for so long,
I cannot tell you.
And I think they finally
cracked in this release,
and they made some really
powerful performance
So if you're in
one of those orgs,
you may see performance
improvements
of up to nine
times faster.
So we talk a lot
about new features,
but I just want
to remind you
that we have this amazing
engineering team that's
always doing all this
work in the background
to make sure that the
features that are there
work for you as
well as they should.
And here I can, again,
view this dashboard
in a mobile-optimized
manner
where this dashboard
looks different than what
I just showed
you, which shows
the awesome mobile
capabilities we have.
And what you'll notice
in the top right
is we have this new icon,
which is for saved views.
So I'm going to
tap that, and I
can see that I can
load existing views.
So Main View, I believe,
is a default view.
I can scroll over to
Account View, which
will show the view
by account type.
But what if for my
mobile-specific needs,
I want to do
something else.
So I'm going to maybe
filter by industry,
and now I can
see this view
that has all of these
industries in order.
And you can drag
and drop them
So it basically
works with reports.
You can build a dashboard
based on our reports.
So it's a helpful
feature that
helps you to
visualize your data.
So ApexGuru is essentially
a product that is, again,
We've been working
for over two years
with a Salesforce
research team
to train our
models to detect
very crucial
anti-patterns that
lead to code
quality improvements
as well as generate
the right code that you
can actually
implement using LLMs.
So now, I can pull in
some of these steps
on the left-hand side and
just drag and drop them
And once I've
designed and edited
some of these steps,
I can come over
to this new
positive track.
And here, I can create
the perfect set of steps
for my reps to
follow once they have
some kind of
meaningful connection
with one of
their contacts.
Starting with
this release,
now you can
actually see how
the flattened
hierarchy works
and what all records are
aligned to each record
on the bottom right here.
In a similar
fashion, I want
to join my accounts
and opportunities.
And then I do a
hierarchical aggregation
where I would like to see
how my accounts have--
what kind of pipeline
do I have by accounts.
What we now have here is
a generative response,
now generating an
answer, grounded
in the content that's
coming from that Google
We see that we
have citations,
we have feedback
component,
But let's say this
doesn't solve the issue
and Lauren wants to reach
out to support and create
And when she goes out
and creates a case,
let's switch gears
now back to my friend
And as an agent, I
have the same sort
of search
capability as well.
I can go in and
also search.
And when I'm now
searching for that
prompt, in addition to
the responses down below,
we have the same sort
of component here
that's also generating
a search answer
for the console agent as
well also with feedback
So this has been an
IdeaExchange idea
And we're super excited
to announce that in-app
guidance is part of the
partner tracks offering
still only works
with partner
But yeah, we're super
excited to satisfy
I think it's 10,000
IdeaExchange points.
Diving down to ApexGuru,
the very first screen
that you will see is this
report creation date.
Now, ApexGuru is
generating reports
So you can pick a
date of the week
that you're interested in.
And very quickly,
this report
You will see all these
features automatically
Let's say that I
want to still search
And I want to check
if there's any report
type, include the
specific fields I
And you see, it's
very efficient, right?
You can see all the
options you can choose.
One of the top questions
yesterday was a complaint
that we didn't have a
Flo plushy on the set.
I heard you brought
a little something.
Well, I wasn't,
in a day, able
to somehow source
a Flo plushy.
But I figured for
all of our fans
out there, if you
can't have a squirrel,
you can still
be the squirrel.
So I am prepared
to offer myself
up or just encourage
any real fans of Flo
out there to just
dress up as Flo.
We may not have a
plushy, but we can still
embrace the power of
the flying squirrel.
So Salesforce
mascot cosplay--
There are some other
global filters,
but the one that I'm
really excited about
is this use for grounding.
There's a lot
of investment
in Generative AI by a
lot of organizations.
Customers are
always looking
to understand how the
knowledge content is
really used by AI, and
use for grounding filters
helps in answering
that question.
Work summaries
will help us
take that
conversation, and it
In this example here,
it's on a case record.
But if you're using leads,
if you're using a custom
object, you can map those
fields into the record
and log that, saving
the wrap-up time
Let's take a look at one
of these demos in action,
Here I have the
Test Harness
The first thing I
want to point out
is the briefcase
integration.
So when I'm debugging my
LWCs, and I want to know
they're going
to work offline.
I want to also download
my data offline.
And you can see I have
downloaded my accounts
And I can view my
accounts offline.
And my LWCs will
actually use that data.
I also have Quick
Actions that I've set up
So let's go ahead
and create a contact.
Propensity to Escalate
is an AI-powered insight.
It's essentially
out-of-the-box machine
learning model, which
is built using Einstein
Now, you can use
it out of the box,
but more often than
not, organizations
would want to
tune it according
to their
organization's needs.
And you can definitely do
that and surface it back
into the Case Record page.
On the left side,
you have the case,
So this is out-of-the-box
CRM component.
This is really
to empower agents
to understand how much
effort the customer
There's definitely
a lot of excitement
And I really want to call
out a comment from Ida,
who just posted,
I'm so happy to see
all-female presenters
in a historically
male-dominated area,
so definitely want
to give you
guys a shout out
and some developer
love there.
