Kartik Viswanadha’s journey into programming began in high school. Demonstrating remarkable dedication, he traveled over an hour just to attend a 15-minute COBOL programming session. Pursuing his passion, he went on to major in Computer Science and Engineering and later interned with an electricity board, where he developed a Java program to visualize district-level energy usage. These early experiences cemented his interest in technology.
After earning his degree, Kartik honed his skills in Java, DB2, COBOL, and more as a mainframe programmer. In this role, he was introduced to Salesforce, assisting with data migration. Kartik was drawn to the Salesforce Platform, intrigued by its innovative cloud-based architecture. At the time, Salesforce’s capabilities were still limited, primarily using Visualforce and Apex, but this glimpse into the world of Software as a Service (SaaS) sparked his curiosity and he never looked back.
Interested in continuing his journey with Salesforce, Kartik spent 3 months skilling up on Salesforce with other experts in the Developer Community. After earning his first Salesforce Certification, Kartik started a job as a developer, where he was the company’s Salesforce expert, managing both product development and services. In this role, he frequently connected with the community for help, leading him to start the Boston Developer Group in 2012, now one of the largest Trailblazer Community Groups in the world.
Kartik’s continued interest in Salesforce is heavily due to the platform’s continuous innovation. For over a decade, he has watched as the Salesforce Platform has innovated and launched new technologies. Now, as the CIO at NeuraFlash, Kartik is passionate about enabling his customers on Salesforce technologies that are changing the way we work, including Agentforce, Data Cloud and MuleSoft. He believes these products are critical for his clients to better integrate, automate, and harness the full power of their data within Salesforce.
Kartik’s passion for Salesforce doesn’t stop at the professional level. Outside of work, Kartik is an active community leader, sharing his expertise on topics like Data Cloud and MuleSoft at global events. He holds 24 certifications and is both a MuleSoft Ambassador and a member of the Salesforce MVP Hall of Fame.
Data has always been a complex challenge, but with the power of Data Cloud and Agentforce, it’s becoming easier to solve than ever before. The speed at which Data Cloud is evolving is nothing short of remarkable — it’s transforming how we access and leverage data within enterprises.
