Priced at $25 Per User Per Month, New AppExchange OEM Edition Enables Partners to Build, Sell and Deliver On-demand Applications Beyond Traditional CRM and Focus on Innovation, not Infrastructure DreamFactory, MyLoanBiz, Rally Software and Remend are First AppExchange OEM Edition Partners
SAN FRANCISCO - salesforce.com Appforce Conference — May 24, 2006 — Salesforce.com, Inc. [NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced the availability of the new AppExchange OEM Edition, enabling salesforce.com partners to extend the power, creativity and success of on-demand computing into new markets completely separate from CRM. The industry's first on-demand OEM offering, AppExchange OEM Edition is an on-demand platform which start-up companies and established ISVs can use to develop and deliver powerful new on-demand applications that reach well beyond CRM to serve new customers and new markets worldwide. Dreamfactory, MyLoanBiz, Rally Software and Remend are the first four AppExchange OEM Edition partners. The announcement was made today at Appforce, salesforce.com's first annual AppExchange partner, user and developer conference.
In its first 120 days, the AppExchange has been an overwhelming success, with more than 8,600 customer installations of the more than 250 applications now available on the AppExchange. AppExchange has delivered 122,000 test drives since September 12, 2005.
As the first on-demand platform OEM offering, AppExchange OEM Edition changes the fundamental way that start-ups and existing partners alike can approach the market - allowing them to focus on innovation not infrastructure. AppExchange OEM Edition allows partners to develop, market and sell powerful new solutions running on the AppExchange on-demand platform, direct to customers, without requiring a separate contract with salesforce.com.
"Our partners have simply amazed us with their innovation and creativity, and we're dedicated to giving them the right tools for success on The Business Web," said Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO, salesforce.com. "Partners benefit from a proven, secure platform that is highly available, secure and reliable. Furthermore, partners can focus on building robust and cutting-edge features tailored to their specific markets, rather than worrying about fundamental platform development issues. Now, applications built on the AppExchange platform can exist completely separate from CRM and can be distributed directly by salesforce.com partners, further extending the reach, benefits and success of on-demand computing to new customers and new markets worldwide."
