Appy Awards are for salesforce.com customers who are driving unlimited success on the salesforce.com platform
SAN FRANCISCO - salesforce.com Dreamforce Conference - October 11, 2006 - Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the technology and market leader in on-demand business services announced the winners of the Appy Awards at a special award ceremony. Appy Award winners represent the salesforce.com customers who are truly driving innovation and unlimited success with the Salesforce on-demand platform. Consisting of 16 award categories, the Appy Awards cover almost every conceivable area of customer success. The announcement was made yesterday at Dreamforce '06, salesforce.com's User and Developer Conference.
"Recognizing our customers for the innovations they are developing for salesforce.com, is one of the most important things we do. The essence of the Business Web is creating a place where enterprises can create applications to solve business problems, and the Appy Award winners exemplify this perfectly," said salesforce.com chairman and CEO Marc Benioff. "Understanding that this handful of award winners represents the best of our 24,800 customers truly puts into perspective the significance of these awards."
On October 10, Benioff and salesforce.com President Jim Steele presented awards to each winner in the 16 separate categories to a capacity crowd at San Francisco's Moscone Center. In addition to the award presentations, there was a presentation on mobility applications currently available on AppExchange.
"Our record of customer success has always been the number one differentiator at Salesforce.com," said Steele. "As our product expands, we are excited to see that the success of our customers expands along with it, and that is reflected in the diversity of the award categories."
The 16 categories are: Top Customizer, Top Integrator, Top Business Web Adopter, Outstanding ROI, Top AppExchange Mobile Deployment, Top SSS Deployment, Top PRM Deployment, Top Large Scale Deployment, Unlimited Success Award, Top Vertical Deployment, Top Non Profit Deployment, Customer Innovation of the Year, Most Valuable Team Player, Breakthrough App of the Year, Best Winter 07 Developer and Best in Show. Winners were based on a combination of usage metrics, technology innovation and business success related to their use of salesforce.com applications and technologies.
