As the Senior Vice President of Employee Success, David Ard oversees the People team at Slack, where he puts his passion for culture, equality and belonging—and championing talent—into daily practice. He empowers employees across Salesforce in his role leading the Global People Practice of Salesforce’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Global People Services.

David has over 20 years of experience leading the HR and People teams of global lifestyle brands at the intersection of talent, culture and performance. Previously, he was the Chief People Officer at Equinox, where he was also a founding partner of Equinox’s Equality and Belonging Leadership Council.

Prior to that, David was Global Head of People for the Gap and Intermix brands, with responsibility for over 30,000 employees across North America, Europe and Asia.

David holds his B.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of Central Florida.
